When there is an interruption in your internet connection, you will see that the bell icon for notifications turns red - this means that you are not currently receiving any new notifications:
If you open the notifications window by clicking on the bell, you are advised to use the Refresh button to resume getting new notifications:
After refreshing, if the internet connection is working again, you are advised to refresh the list to see any new notifications that you might have missed. The bell icon is now orange:
The bell icon will turn black if the internet connection is working again and the list of notifications is displaying new tasks that you might have missed:
