All documents for any given claim in Claim Works are found under the Documents tab.
Documents are filed in Categories such as Correspondence, JA/LMS, Medical, Reports, as well as other Categories that you would typically find in CAC:
View Documents in a specific Category by clicking on the Category from the left-hand side of the screen.
Documents can be searched by title in the search field at the top of the document list:
Document file types that can be saved in Claim Works include Word .docx and .doc, Acrobat .pdf, Excel .xlsx, and Image .jpg, .png, .gif.
Documents can be added to Claim Works:
by the CAC integration,
through migration from a previous software,
uploaded by you from your computer,
created within Claim Works from a template.
Documents with names containing more than 100 characters cannot be uploaded to Claim Works.
Only documents saved with a .docx extension can be saved and edited directly in Claim Works with the Word Add-In. If you want to edit a .doc Word document, you will have to convert it to a .docx format (see how on the following Knowledge Base article: Convert Word Documents from .doc to .docx).
If you are not seeing CAC documents in the list, make sure that you don't have the Hide CAC documents box checked:
Note: All documents from previous software can be found in the same Category where they were saved before.
