My Case Notes report shows you every case note you have entered, on your cases or anyone else’s, for the specified time period.
This report helps you view details by charge type for case notes you have completed and a summary of your billing by charge type at the top, with date filter options accommodating various payroll scenarios:
Use this report to check your case note billing prior to payroll.
Parameters:
Start and End Date parameters (required) may be applied to various dates, depending on what is selected in the Date range applied to... parameter. The report runs automatically with a default date range of the most recent two weeks, based on submit date (Data case note submitted option from the Date range applied to... parameter).
Date range applied to... parameter applies the date range in one of four ways to accommodate varying payroll rules:
Date case note invoiced (invoiced status only) shows case notes invoiced between the Start and End Dates, regardless of when they were completed or submitted.
Date case note submitted (submit date, submitted or invoiced status) shows case notes submitted for billing between the Start and End Dates, whether or not they have been invoiced.
Date case note completed (complete date) shows all case notes completed between the Start and End Dates, regardless of status.
Date case note created (draft only) shows case notes created between the Start and End Dates that have not been submitted, or that have been un-submitted.
Invoice Dates (the Invoice Date entered by an admin when creating an invoice to place it within the specified pay period).
Accounts parameter (optional) allows you to narrow the results to a specific account or group of accounts. If left showing None Selected, then all active and inactive accounts (including any internal, administrative accounts) will be included in the results.
^Let me pick inactive accounts^ checkbox determines whether inactive accounts are included in the choices for selection in the Accounts parameter. To see only active accounts, leave the checkbox unchecked (the default selection), and Select all from the Accounts parameter.
Service parameter (optional) allows you to narrow the results to a particular service or services. If left showing None Selected, then all services will be included.
Include Billable or Non-Billable parameter (required) lets you show only billable, only non-billable, or both types of activities. The default value is Billable.
Notes:
The My Case Notes report is designed for export to Excel for further filtering and analysis.
Charge Types include: Prof. Hrs., Flat Rate, Travel/Wait, Mileage, and Expense.
The Status Date column, at the far right, shows the date of the most recent status (for draft status - Date case note created - this is the date the case note was created).
