These are a few benefits of using Goals to track AWA/PD/PI QA:
The goal tracking system very clearly shows when something has not happened yet, whereas case notes and activity types are only good at showing things that have happened.
Goals provide a voice to VRCs - they can express why a particular goal won't be reached on schedule (describe the delay), or in some cases why it won't be met at all (bypass the goal with an explanation).
Managers and VRCs have a clear and reliable way to check in on QA measures, from within a claim as well as for all of a VRC's claims using the beta Cases list.
Goals make it easy to track QA measures across extensions and ADMX referrals.
The VRCs have full clarity and control over what is reported for their claim work, no guess work about what might be triggered by a case note.
Any number of case notes can be recorded against a goal. For example, finishing the Work Product goal can be any number of case notes that do not individually change reporting, until the VRC is ready for the goal to be reported as complete.
Goals provide a framework for firms to create additional guidelines beyond those required by L&I.
