How to Fill Out a Stay at Work Application

Updated over a year ago

Stay at Work applications and their associated payments can be tracked in Gardiant using the Stay at Work tab in the Claim Info area of the claim:

Click on the +Application button to start a new application:

This screen allows you to create an Expense Reimbursement or a Wage Reimbursement, and track it through its lifecycle.

You can enter basic information about the application (Requested Amount, Paid Amount, Period Covered, and Number of Days) and one or more milestone dates in any order as the application progresses from eligibility to payment.

You can use the Notes field to tell a story about the status, give an explanation of the work day choices for the application, or note any other pertinent information.

In order to track progress, a set of milestone dates is provided, including: Eligible, In Development, Waiting for Payroll Info, Received Payroll Info, Submitted, Paid, and Employer Notified:

In order to mark a claim as eligible for SAW for tracking purposes, simply start an application and populate the Eligible Date or any other date that is relevant for your process.

If an application becomes inactive and is not expected to move forward to payment, you can populate the Application Inactive Date to indicate this, which will be useful for reporting on active vs. inactive applications and expected vs. actual payments.

You can continue working a Stay at Work claim in Gardiant after the claim has closed or even if the main case for the claim is closed.

The employers who have external access can see the SAW application but cannot edit it or create a new application.
