There are two ways to create Job Analyses in Gardiant: use an already existing .docx JA document from your computer or from the claim, or build a JA from scratch with the Gardiant JA tool/template.
The following options are available when selecting the button to add a JA. The option to search for existing JA is also available:
When choosing the option to create a Word document JA, the JA tool will have some highlighted, required fields that need to be filled out and the option to upload ONE .docx JA document from your computer or attach it from the claim:
When you are uploading a document from your computer, the document will be automatically added on the claim to the Documents tab, as well. You will see a JA icon next to the title in the Documents tab to show that the document is linked to a JA:
If you edit the document attached to a JA from the Documents tab, the document in the JA tab will be updated, as well. Although it shows in both places, it is the same document.
Because it is one and the same document both in the Documents tab and on the JA, you cannot use the JA Word document that is already assigned to a JA on a second JA for the same claim. If you do try to assign the same document to another JA on the same claim, the following error will be displayed:
The only accepted document type is Word .docx. If you try to use any other type of document, an error will be displayed:
Once all the required fields are filled out and the document is attached, you can save the JA. As soon as the JA is saved, you will have the capability to search for this JA under the All JAs search option on other claims; you can search by Job title, DOT#, or Employer. From here, you can also add the JA to the Bank:
Note: You will be allowed to save the JA at any time even if not all required fields are filled out, but if you try to generate the document or add the JA to the bank, it will give an error advising you what fields are incomplete:
If the JA document is opened, but the JA is not in edit mode, you will only get a preview of the document; you are not able to edit it with the Word Add-In. To be able to edit the document, you will need to select the Download and Edit document button:
If you are deleting a JA, you will be asked what you want to do with the document that is attached to the JA: move it to trash, keep it in the library, or you can cancel out of this error which will keep everything the same.
The following error will be displayed if you are trying to delete a document that is linked to a JA:
