When L&I approves an extension/exception to a referral, you need to create an extension case in Gardiant for the current claim (example: you have an 810 case => you need to create an 812 case). You can do so by going through the Claim Info tab, and using the +Related Case button:
Fill out the Service and Rate Schedule information, the Referral Date, update any other necessary information, and Save:
This will create a separate case for the extension sharing Contacts and Documents, Comments previously added at Claim level (see related articles at the top of this article), and the Claim Information.
Case notes are case specific so they will not be transferred to the extension case.
