[Admin report] Payroll Summary Export

Updated over a year ago

The Payroll Summary Export report is a summary of case note charges for the selected payroll period, with a row for each unique combination of VRC roles (Referred VRC, Lead VRC, and Timekeeper VRC), Charge Type, Service, and billable status.

This report is presented in a “report book” format, with two different reports being presented in the two tabs (or two worksheets if exported to Excel).

  • The first report (Payroll Summary Export) contains the data to be exported, with only a single row of column headers above the data.

  • The second report shows information about the report (parameters selected, report notes, etc.).

The report is designed for export to Excel (see note below if CSV is needed).

Parameters:

  • Payroll Start and Payroll End Date parameters (required) are applied to filter case notes based on when they were completed, submitted, invoiced, depending on the selection on the Date range applied to... parameter.

  • Date range applied to... parameter (required):

1. Date case notes invoiced (invoiced status only) = when the case note was invoiced, when the invoice was marked as final

2. Date case notes submitted (submitted or invoiced status)

3. Date case notes completed (any status)

4. Invoice Dates (invoiced status only) = the Invoice Date entered when creating an invoice

  • Include non-billable items? checkbox determines whether or not non-billable items are included in the results.

  • Account parameter (optional) allows you to narrow results to a specific account or group of accounts. If left showing None Selected, all active and inactive accounts (including internal, administrative accounts) will be included.

  • Service (optional) allows you to narrow the results to cases delivering a particular service or services. If left showing None Selected, then all services will be included.

  • Timekeeper VRC (optional) lets you narrow the results to case notes completed by a particular individual or team. If left with None Selected, all users who completed case notes for your cases will be included.

  • Lead VRC (optional) is used to restrict results to billing on cases with a particular VRC or group of VRCs in the Lead VRC role.

  • Referred VRC (optional) is used to restrict results to billing on cases with a particular VRC or group of VRCs in the Referred VRC role.

Notes:

  • From and To Dates indicate the earliest and latest Completed Date for the case notes summarized in that line.

  • You may want to save a copy of the Excel file prior to uploading to your destination application if it is necessary to delete the Payroll Summary Export Header with audit information about the report.

  • If your destination application requires CSV format, first export the report to Excel, delete the Payroll Summary Export Header tab, and save as CSV from Excel. Exporting to CSV directly from the report will not produce a usable CSV file.
