Confidential Claims in Gardiant

Updated over a year ago

Confidential claims are handled in Gardiant as follows:

  • If a claim is discovered to not be accessible in CAC at the time an L&I Monthly/Quarterly/Adjustment report is uploaded to Gardiant, it will be considered a confidential claim.

  • It may take up to a few hours after the report is uploaded to Gardiant to determine if the claim is accessible in CAC.

  • If the claim is confirmed as not being accessible in CAC, it will be created in Gardiant with the limited information available in the report.

  • The Claimant Name will have the first name initial and the last name, all in capital letters.

  • Comments will be placed on the confidential claim noting any additional information from the report that isn’t viewable in the Claim Info tab.

  • Confidential claims are not specifically identified as such but are recognizable in a number of ways:

    • Claimant name has a different format (first name initial and last name, all in capital letters),

    • There are no CAC updates (no Last Updated from CAC date),

    • Claim Info tab is more sparsely populated,

    • There is no claim budget.
