Confidential claims are handled in Gardiant as follows:
If a claim is discovered to not be accessible in CAC at the time an L&I Monthly/Quarterly/Adjustment report is uploaded to Gardiant, it will be considered a confidential claim.
It may take up to a few hours after the report is uploaded to Gardiant to determine if the claim is accessible in CAC.
If the claim is confirmed as not being accessible in CAC, it will be created in Gardiant with the limited information available in the report.
The Claimant Name will have the first name initial and the last name, all in capital letters.
Comments will be placed on the confidential claim noting any additional information from the report that isn’t viewable in the Claim Info tab.
Confidential claims are not specifically identified as such but are recognizable in a number of ways:
Claimant name has a different format (first name initial and last name, all in capital letters),
There are no CAC updates (no Last Updated from CAC date),
Claim Info tab is more sparsely populated,
There is no claim budget.
