The OSHA Claim Data Validation report is used to check the claims of one or more employers for the current or past calendar years to see how complete the OSHA data is. (OSHA data is required to fill in the OSHA 300 and 300A forms which are in another report.)
Results will show on the report if the claim is marked as OSHA Recordable in the TL/LD tab and whether the various data elements are present or missing:
The Employer Location Name column will be PINK if blank (no employer locations are recorded for that employer).
OSHA Reportable column will be YELLOW when a claim is not marked as OSHA reportable.
Work Days Comparison column says "mismatch" and turns PINK when Time Loss Days or Light Duty Days are on record, but no OSHA days are recorded, or is blank and GREEN if OSHA days are recorded (no attempt is made to compare numbers with non-OSHA types if they are present).
The missing data columns (Job Title, Date of Injury, Injury Location, Injury Description, Death Flag, and Injury Type) turn PINK when data is missing, and GREEN when data is present.
Parameters:
Employer Program (required) select the retro or TPA program to be included in the report and in the Employers parameter drop-down. The default is the first retro group found so if your firm manages only one retro group, no selection is needed.
Employers (required) allows you to narrow results to a specific employer account or group of employer accounts.
^Let me pick inactive employers^ checkbox determines whether inactive employers are included in the choices for selection in the Employers parameter. To see only active employers, leave the checkbox unchecked (the default selection) and Select All (or a subset of) the employers in the Employers parameter.
Employer Location (optional) allows you to create reports for only selected employer locations. If left showing None selected, all employer locations for the selected employers will be included.
Calendar Year allows you to specify which calendar year is being reported.
Notes:
Data noted as missing can be entered in the Incident Report section of the TL/LD tab of a claim, and for the Job Title, in the Injury/Job sub-tab of the Claim Info tab of a claim:
